The Air-Force - ABOVE ALL. (…except anime)

Saturday, October 23rd, 2004

Well, here I am, writing another entry in my blog. Army life has its ups and downs, these past few weeks. Got posted to the Air Force, and then sent on course for driver. LOL. Got addicted to Bleach (the anime, not the toiletry - and Rukia’s KAWAI!), Mai-HiME, Kannaduki no Miko and Gundam Seed Destiny. Sigh. Really tired from the week’s training, drive until we go “up the wall”…lol…still, there’s more driving to do before I can pass the course. Well, I think that’s it for now, will update at another time when I’m free.

Apparently, the more tomboyish girls I am exposed to in anime the more I find real life tomboyish girls…likeable. Not that I like anyone now, its just a statement.

Another Boring Month In (And Out Of) Tekong

Saturday, August 14th, 2004

It has been more then a month since I last posted an entry in here…haha…sorry guys and girls!

Nothing much has happened in the past month…I finished watching the first season of Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex, found out that one of my primary school friend is now a Second Lieutenant, got 29/32 for simulated firing test, got appointed as “Morale Booster IC” for this week’s field camp, can pull 6 chin ups now and got a new digital camera (Fujifilm FinePix F610) for graduation from polytechnic from my dad.

Well, that’s it for this entry.

(6 more weeks to POP!)

Anime Overload!

Tuesday, May 4th, 2004

Been watching anime lately…A LOT of anime. Heh, this season’s anime is very fun to watch! Madlax, Kenran Butoh Sai - The Mars Daybreak, Phantom, Bakuretsu Tenshi and Tenjou Tenge. Whoa, just this long list can get dizzy. I sill have other on-going anime to watch from last season too.

Sometimes I wonder why people worry too much about things. Is it because they want to be perfect in every way? I really don’t understand them. One should live life as worry-free as possible! Of course, not worrying is bad thing, and over-worrying is also bad. Such anxious people should find a balance between worrying and being carefree.

FYP vs. Anime, 0-1

Tuesday, January 27th, 2004

Been busy these few days wth FYP and ANIME! LOLz! FYP…can lah, won’t die =) Anime, too many to watch! The current anime shows that I am watching are listed below (in chronological order of when I first watched):

Chrno Crusade - 1920s. God and Order of Magdalene versus Aion and devils. And a bit of comedy too. Cool.

Maria-sama ga Miteru (The Virgin Mary Is Watching You) - Unknown era. Story about a freshie in a Christian (i don’t know if it is Catholic, Anglican, Protestant or what, cause I have no idea at all. I’m not a Christian too) all-girls school. Very peaceful feel to the show.

Diamond Dust Drops - Life of a fishmonger’s daughter. Enough said. Quite emotional and has a unique style of videography portraying emotions.

Cosprayers - Cosplay IS real (which I sincerely hope NOT - fat Yunas and meat wrapped in plastic, latex and rubber can be shown for driver’s education videos instead of the standard blood and gore). Weird concept but nice show.

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue - Girl who thinks she has it all loses it all when she tries out for a government agency job in a city surrounded by the brilliant blue - duh, its the ocean! Sad and funny both at the same time.

Mezzo DSA - Super-human robot girl Mezzo does the dirty work in the Danger Service Agency, a semi-mercenary group of professionals who can do anything.

Gokusen - A (secret) yakuza (mafia/gangster) high-school teacher teaches in an infamous high-school that churns out gangsters instead of scholars, due to bad influence from the community and in school. Quite funny and cool.

Yumeria - A 16-year old boy who has wierd dreams, wakes up with a strange girl beside him who only knows and says one word. He has a female friend who has a crush on him. The three of them have the same dream that the boy has, and they all have special powers in the “dream world”. Half-real and half-fantasy world mixed with comedy. Overall two thumbs up.

Well that’s all the time I have to blog. Gotta go sleep now.

Much Ado About Nothing

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2003

Sigh. Went to school for nothing. Nothing much to say about that.

Anyway, I picked up a copy of CBT Companion on Tuesday and Full Metal Panic Vol. 5 today. Yay! Something to read at last! Chrno Crusade is also a nice show, I just watched episode 2 today. It was much more exciting than episode 1, though I predicted that the plot would turn out this way. Still, it IS exciting to watch. And strangely Full Metal Panic Vol. 5 was very easy to read through compared to You’re Under Arrest. Speaking of which I only have one book left to complete the YUA series - book 2! Luckily I didn’t chase it so much, the book, so far as I know, is still “on order”. LOL! Sigh…and Natsumi reminds me of a person I know…its kind of weird to feel this way but given a chance, I’d be more…”supportive” of her. Still, only time - and fate - can tell.

Full Metal Driving Test

Saturday, November 22nd, 2003

Finally completed MGS2! Yay! Anyway, nothing much to blog these past few days. Wednesday played MGS2 and slacked at home, Thursday went out to borrow my friend’s Full Metal Panic season 1 episodes on CD, then came back home and watched it in the night, and then continued till Friday afternoon. Wahhhh. Not a bad show, but its not as funny as the second season. Then yesterday night I went to take my Basic Theory Test with a friend. Need to get at least 45/50 to pass!!! -_-” Then my friend said that there was a girl across the aise from his seat at another table who didn’t bring her IC and reciept…and she’s from SP. Best! LOL!

I am really disgusted by a friend of mine, who says he can’t make it to a one-time function with the class and our mentor because he has a cell group going on. I agree that interacting with people in the cell group is rather interesting and fun, but if you spend so much time with your cell group and can’t even spare a little time to see other friends and elders whom you don’t see much, what sort of a person are you? Skipping cell group once in a while can’t hurt anyone.

Sigh, time to choose again…be a cold and distant person or nice and caring friend. Damn. I hate this choice.
