The Gears Are Turning In Time

The Gears Are Turning In Time

Finally got some time to post something up. Bought a Tri-Wing screwdriver (around $4) off eBay to fix up the spoilt DS lite which I had also gotten off eBay (and put off repairing it for a long time…) and it arrived last week. Also, I ordered a flash cart online (for $100), and the shipping was quite fast (2 days!). Loaded up on an 8GB SDHC card at a computer store in a neighbourhood shopping mall (costed $45), a nylon casing (feels over-priced at $29.90) and 2 retractable metal styluses (styli?) which seemed over-priced at $15.90. Currently playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Civilization: Revolution on it, because I have absolutely no idea what games are good for the DS.

Fedora 10 was released last week, and it doesn’t seem to have much difference over Fedora 9, besides the updated kernel which has better support for SSD devices. I tested my (crappy) Transcend 32GB SSD IDE disk via USB on it, and its much more better (and perhaps a tad bit faster) than using it in Windows XP, as it has a tendency to complain that I can’t  unmount the drive because it is in use. Also, I got my university results – a Distinction for my final year project, which I thought would fail. Which is insanely electrifying, considering the amount of hair lost/turning white, pimples sprouting, coffee drank and hours of sleep lost. Lastly, I got a new job in the Woodlands/Admiralty area, doing the stuff that I always wanted to do. Hopefully the company will be going in the direction that I am thinking about. Sadly, with all these good news, I have a few bad ones – my constipation’s acting up again, and RT’s just begun. Hope to see an improvement on my personal health above all others.

Note to self: Must buy new clothes soon.
