New Balance REAL Run 2007 Results Are Out!

New Balance REAL Run 2007 Results Are Out!

Finally…anyway my timing’s 1hr 15mins+, not too bad. Sadly, no one (friends from my time as an airman) believes that I can run that fast, so I guess I’ll have to wait for sportsphotox.com to upload the pictures and show them. Anyway, there are lots of interesting things to note during the run: While running, some male participants will dash off into the bushes and pee. One young Caucasian female runner commented “it’s easier for men” Surprisingly there are lots…

My New Oakley Specs

My New Oakley Specs

Finally the optical shop at West Mall SMSed me, telling me that my spectacles are ready for collection (Nowadays they have an SMS system to inform customers…so high tech!) after 8 days since I walked in and made my lenses. I’ve not gone to the optician’s to make new glasses since 2003, so there were changes in my vision – both my eyes have improved slightly in degrees, but my left eye’s astigmatism has increased. I chose Oakley Lens H…

His Dark Materials – Compass, Knife, Spyglass

His Dark Materials – Compass, Knife, Spyglass

Recently I’ve been busy with RT at Maju FCC (nothing much), and with this wonderfully good book as well, so I couldn’t blog. This book is a really good read (and most copies are on loan at the National Library, so I had to reserve it – there goes my $1.55), and I can’t wait for the movie to be released. Following C.S. Have You Met The Legendary Rare Character, Lui?

Have You Met The Legendary Rare Character, Lui?

Guess who I saw on the bus today? The one, the only, Legendary Rare Character, Lui JY! Seriously though, it was really good to see him, since the last time I saw him was like, around a year ago? We chatted awhile on the bus while I was on the way back from SIM tonight. Looks like he’s doing fine with his architectural work, and with the currently hot real estate industry, I expect him to be very busy recently….

Walking Down Memory Lane

Walking Down Memory Lane

I’ve been sorting out my old blogger posts recently, and boy, has it been a real fun ride into the past. Consequently, this has led me to sort out my photos as well. I’m almost done with the sorting, and should be probably finished by end of the month…I hope. This week was quite an average week, except for two days where I had to be on standby for the sec 2 & 3 CPA/EOA exams in the lab. Despite…

Semi-Incommunicado For A Week

Semi-Incommunicado For A Week

Went for a buffet at the Mushroom Pot at Orchard Point with CheekyHan and Ah Tham, and it was…very exotic. Ate lots of mushrooms, and had a few servings of meat as well. After that, we headed down to SLS to look for a USB thumbdrive header connector so that I can repair the spoilt thumbdrive properly. $1.50 for a USB connector sounds just right. Then we took a bus to Island Creamery at Serene Centre, where CheekyHan ate…
