I Really Know How to Start…Fixing a Broken Thumbdrive

Yup, this has got to be one of my best achievements so far. Got this broken thumbdrive from a teacher in school on Thursday, and fixed it up today. Thankfully the PCB is solidly constructed, because it was slightly bent when I soldered on the USB head I hacked off from a spare USB cable in school. My Big Daddy is Slow

Recently GoDaddy has been acting really slow on me, so I decided to switch over to DreamHost, where (hopefully) it’s worth its speed in price – I’m paying almost double the price of GoDaddy. Ah well, at least it’s cheaper than hosting locally in Singapore. Spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday migrating data over to DreamHost, and now I’m left with only two sets of data to transfer before I terminate my account with GoDaddy. I apologize for the…

A nice wrap-up of the week on Friday – the two UPSes in the server room was replaced, and (probably due to the school schedule of exams) the mid-autumn festival was celebrated about two weeks in advance of the actual day.
