My Rig is Mightier Than The Pen AND The Sword!
After a month of waiting for the parts to arrive (and 5 years of usage of my old Pentium 4 Northwood), I finally made a trip down to SLS today, and completed the whole set. Spent the entire day transferring my new motherboard from the old casing (so that I can test if it can boot up and also do some overclocking) to the new one, and transferring back the old motherboard from the motherboard box to the old casing.
On the overclocking issue I had previously, I finally got my system stable with 334 FSB, Vdimm +0.1v (to match the specs on the Corsair) and Vcore 1.325, running at 1:1 ratio. Turns out that low voltage supplied to the CPU causes the “sometimes can POST sometimes cannot POST” problem.
