Why school TAs are treated so bad

I have finally come to the conclusion that the way my company runs their “customer service ” is almost to the point of breaking their backs. That probably partially explains the high turnover rate for this job (besides the renumeration, but hey, I’m not complaining). Management policies affect the morale of the employees, and at the same time, “customers” are trying to make mountains out of molehills and trying to get us to do things outside our job scope. Additionally, by trying to please the “customers” they will get even more demanding - that’s why its an endless vicious cycle for this problem.
