Out Of The Frying Pan And Into The Fire

Out Of The Frying Pan And Into The Fire

Well, after being trained to be a “qualified” TA, I was posted to a primary school in the Queenstown area (a very peaceful neighbourhood there, I must say) last week, and this week, before I even get to officially start work today, I was called up by the HOD for IT there to help the (secondary school I am posted to) out in an audit (*flashback to AAO WY 2005/2006*), and lo-and behold, the entire school AVA and IT inventory is in chaos. Apparantly, the inventory has not been checked since the last audit, thus leaving us with 11th hour scramble to comb the entire school for equipment. Well, at least the exercising of running around the school is good for my health, but the journey from home to my workplace in Hougang is excruciatingly slow – 1 to 1.5 hour in the mornings, and 2 hours in the evening. Thankfully I’m not a permanent staff there, or else I’d die of long travel times.
